Thank you for your continued patience and understanding during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that we are in a national lockdown, we continue to operate within the Government’s guidelines for veterinary practices.
We will continue to provide veterinary care and treatment and will continue with the procedures put in place to minimise the risk and to protect the well being of our team, and you, our clients.
The overall message of the national lockdown is to stay at home although members of the public are permitted to travel to access veterinary services. We will assess cases in that context and, in some cases, it will be appropriate to delay seeing a pet for the duration of the lockdown. We would ask that you respect our decision in these cases.
We have put in place new measure to help minimise the risk of spread of the disease. These measures are meant to protect both staff and general public.
Our staff have their temperature checked every morning and are using full personal protective equipment. All members of staff wash their hands thoroughly and frequently during the day.
During the COVID-19 crisis customers will not be allowed to enter the premises and will need to knock at the door or phone us to let us know they have arrived, then will be kindly asked to wait either in their own car, prior leaving a contact number, or outside the main door. If you choose to wait outside, please remind to wear a face mask at all times and to keep social distancing.
When your turn comes a member of staff wearing full personal protective equipment will approach you to know about the problem and history, once done, will take the patient inside to have a full health check performed by a veterinary surgeon and a veterinary nurse. At the end of the examination will contact you again to discuss the treatment plan.
Payment will be done inside using the social distancing card reader installed at the entrance of the practice. The payment machine is sanitised between every customer and next to it there is alcohol hand gel. Required medication will be dispensed in there as well.
Please keep in mind we are in a national lockdown. We are trying to reduce the number of appointments for that reason. Routine appointments as nail clips will not be booked. We are also delaying to vaccination boosters until the end of the grace period, that period is 3 months.
